Yes its true! The people who brought you the Silent Hill series and more important the Metal Gear Solid series, have just grabbed the rights to make a Saw game. Obviously based on the film franchise, and will be released in June along side the new 'Saw VI', but with not be based on the film, it will just tie into the story. The game will released on the PS3, 360 and PC. So we will have to wait till then to see if its any good. If it's anything like the Silent Hill then I’m going to go crazy for it. The blend of horror and puzzles will make this game fantastic. According to PS3Fanyboy-
"Tasking you with navigating an asylum and defusing Jigsaw's trademark deathtraps, the Saw game promises to adopt an overt style of horror and make you "turn away from the screen for just a moment because of the visual intensity."

This really exits me. Then reading the article which they got this from, from the Variety site, I had to put it on my possible GOTY (Game of The Year) list along with Batman: Arkham Asyla
m, Bioshock 2: Sea Of Dreams (if they keep the second half of the title) and Modern Warfare 2. Quite a list I know. Back on subject, Its is apparent that instead of a psychological horror like Silent Hill they are aiming for intense horror. They even want the players to turn way. The story involves a guy locked in Jigsaw's asylum and you have to save his victims, some being characters from the franchise. If this is going to be anything like a Silent Hill game the people you save with have an impact on the ending. So I’m hoping for multiple endings.
